I’m so happy to share this beautiful feature in the Autumn 2026 issue of Millionair Magazine, which came out a few days ago.
“Take a Walk on the Wild Side” was written, styled and photographed by Shelly Vella. I love the way she has photographed my creations among old stone sculptures, flowers and textures. There is something quite magical about the images, and the setting feels so right for these pieces.
Shelly and I were introduced through our mutual friend Paolo Reflex, the creator of Moon Mist aura spray. She commissioned a Lotus ring set with a faceted garnet in memory of her beloved horse, with a personal inscription engraved inside. It was a very meaningful piece to make, and reading her words about what the ring means to her made this feature even more special.
Across the pages, Shelly brings together pieces from my collections alongside several One of One designs, including the Shattuckite Great Wave ring, the Charoite Butterflies ring, the hand-carved Black Onyx Butterfly ring and the Galaxy Jasper pendant. Also featured is the beautiful Crescent Moon talisman, created in collaboration with the magical guys behind Moonmist.
The feature also shares a little of what goes into making them. My designs begin as wax carvings, worked by hand before being cast in recycled sterling silver. Nature, art and symbolism are always present in my work, sometimes in an obvious way and sometimes in small details you only notice when you look closely.
I spend so much time with these pieces at my workbench, carving, setting and finishing them. Seeing them through someone else’s eyes is a lovely feeling, especially when they understand the care and passion behind the work.
A heartfelt thank you to Shelly for her beautiful words, photography and styling, and to Millionair for giving my work such a lovely space in this issue.
