The Snake Upper Arm Bangle, A Symbol of Transformation

Throughout history, snakes have been among the most enduring symbols in art and mythology. Shedding their skin, they have long represented transformation, renewal, wisdom, and protection. From Ancient Egypt to Greece and Rome, serpent-shaped jewellery adorned the arms of queens, priestesses, and rulers, serving not only as beautiful ornaments but also as powerful talismans.

The Snake Upper Arm Bangle draws inspiration from these ancient armlets while embracing a sculptural, contemporary aesthetic. Rather than a single serpent, the design is formed by six individually hand-sculpted snakes, each with its own unique movement and character.

Each serpent has its own unique shape and movement, intertwining to create a sculptural bangle that is both elegant and edgy from every angle. Finished to a mirror-like high polish, the flowing forms catch the light beautifully, revealing the intricate details of all six snakes.

Originally designed as an upper arm bangle, it can just as easily be worn on the wrist for a different look. The internal diameter measures approximately 7.5 cm (23.5 cm circumference) and is available with either a closed design or an open gap. For a larger size, the bangle can also be made with seven snakes; please get in touch to discuss a bespoke version.

Each bangle is made to order and can be engraved with a personal message, making your piece even more unique. It is also available in solid gold upon request.
